Currently, eligible claimants of working tax credits will geta basic amount and extra “elements” on top of this.
How much is awarded will depend on the claimants living circumstances and income.
The basis amount is up to £3,040 per year.
The additional elements added onto this can range between £122.50 and £3,220 a year.
The Government provides a tax credits calculator on their website which can help claimants work out what they’ll receive.
